The elegant surroundings featuring a beautiful teak and mahogany bar with wonderful stained glass images of famous Irish Writers, Poets & Saints is a popular spot with theatre and cinema goers, couples & friends or the local business community coming in for a quick power lunch.
Carvery & Bar food are served daily and our friendly bar staff are always on hand to recommend the perfect liquid refreshment, a creamy pint of the black stuff, a glass of chardonnay or just a coffee, Irish of course.
The Saints & Scholars Lounge has quite the storied history have a look at the two plaques hanging side by side in the lounge denoting the fact that the ‘Irish Volunteer Force’ had met in Wynn’s Hotel for the first time in November 1913 and in April 1914 the ladies of Cumann na mBan held their inaugural meeting on the 1st floor of the Hotel.
The late playwright Hugh Leonard once nurtured a crazed vision of the lounge at Wynn's Hotel. He imagined that if he looked behind a sofa he would find the great lyricist Percy French singing, "Are ye right there, Michael?''
